Funeral Service Plans

Holy Angels Funeral and Cremation Services follows the Order of Christian Funerals guidelines by providing funeral service plans that contain the following services:

The Vigil is the rite celebrated by the Christian community at the time following death and before the funeral liturgy. It is also when loved ones show their respect and share their memories of the deceased.

The Funeral Liturgy is the Community’s central liturgical celebration in a single movement. It begins with the viewing, greeting of family and friends, and culminates in the prayers and farewell at the cemetery.

The Rite of Committal takes place at the conclusion of the funeral rites. It is the final act of caring for the body of the deceased at the final resting place.

Cremation Service Plans

The Order of Christian Funerals strongly prefers that cremation take place after the full funeral liturgy with the body present. However, when this is not possible, all the traditional rites that are celebrated with a body present may also be celebrated in the presence of cremated remains (please discuss arrangements with the Parish).
